[Two-Year UK Bond Yields Fall Over 5 Basis Points as UK Inflation Drops More Than Expected] On Wednesday (December 17), in late European trading, the yield on 10-year UK government bonds fell 4.4 basis points to 4.475%. The yield had initially plunged at the opening of European stock markets, quickly hitting a daily low of 4.446%, before settling into a low-level consolidation. The two-year UK bond yield fell 5.4 basis points to 3.712%. The 30-year UK bond yield fell 3.4 basis points, and the 50-year UK bond yield fell 3.0 basis points. The 2/10-year UK bond yield spread widened by 0.992 basis points to +76.099 basis points. At 3:00 PM before the European stock market opened, data released by relevant institutions showed that the UK's November Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 3.2% year-on-year, exceeding market expectations of a decline from 3.6% to 3.5%.
