[US President Trump May Declare War on Venezuela on the Morning of December 18th Beijing Time] Reports indicate that the US supercarrier strike group, USS Gerald R. Ford, is approaching Venezuela, within range of a rapid air strike. Earlier on Wednesday, following Trump's threats against Venezuela, three Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet fighter jets and two Boeing EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft were deployed to the Venezuelan coast. US journalist Tucker Carlson, citing a member of Congress, stated that President Trump may declare war on Venezuela on the morning of December 18th Beijing time. Geopolitical tensions may push up precious metals and oil prices in the short term.
