[MIIT Electronic Information Department: 2026 to Further Strengthen Capacity Control and Improve Price Monitoring Mechanism for the Photovoltaic Industry] At today's 2025 Photovoltaic Industry Annual Conference, Yang Xudong, Director of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), stated in his address that 2026 will be a critical period for the governance of the photovoltaic industry. The MIIT Electronic Information Department will focus on several key tasks, including further strengthening capacity control, deepening the construction of a unified national market, strengthening the management of photovoltaic manufacturing projects, and using market-oriented and rule-of-law methods to promote the orderly withdrawal of outdated production capacity and accelerate the achievement of dynamic capacity balance. It will also improve the price monitoring mechanism, thoroughly implement the Anti-Unfair Competition Law, strictly crack down on price violations, false marketing, and other illegal and irregular activities, curb disorderly low-price competition, focus on companies with abnormal pricing, and strengthen product quality supervision and spot checks. For companies with substandard quality, falsely labeled power output, or intellectual property infringement, we will strengthen monitoring and follow-up actions.
