The strategy aims to establish a self-reliant and internationally advanced Earth system forecasting system by 2035. This goal will be steadily advanced in two phases. In the next five years, the focus will be on achieving operationalization of the new generation of forecasting models and establishing a unified basic framework for meteorological artificial intelligence models. Deep integration of various technologies will be promoted, and the first-generation Earth system digital service platform will be released. Between 2030 and 2035, a unified framework Earth system forecasting system will be fully established, significantly improving the simulation and prediction capabilities for multi-scale and multi-sphere interactions of the Earth system.
