[Cui Dongshu: Passenger Vehicle Inventory Reaches 3.79 Million Units at the End of November] Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), stated that the national passenger vehicle inventory reached 3.79 million units at the end of November, an increase of 380,000 units from the previous month and 590,000 units from November 2024, exhibiting characteristics of peak season restocking with inventory rebounding. Due to the poor market performance in October and November, November inventory rebounded to a relatively high level of 3.79 million units. The CPCA's forecasting team has been very optimistic about the market since February, with an optimism level of 64% before November and a post-November satisfaction level of 13% at the beginning of December. The team's optimism for the December market reached 24%, which is a relatively poor forecast by manufacturers, hoping for further subsidies in some regions. Based on the combined estimate of inventory at the end of November 2025 and sales in the next three months, the current inventory can support future sales for 61 days, compared to 48 days in November 2024, indicating relatively high overall inventory pressure in November this year.
