[Statistical Agency Projects French Economic Growth of 0.9% in 2025] A report released on the 17th by the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) shows that France's economy is projected to grow by 0.9% in 2025, slightly lower than the 1.1% growth in 2024. The report points out that France's GDP grew by 0.5% quarter-on-quarter in the third quarter, a relatively good level within the Eurozone. Easing supply constraints in the aerospace sector led to a 1.3% quarter-on-quarter increase in manufacturing output, and a 4.8% quarter-on-quarter increase in manufacturing exports. Business investment grew by 0.8% quarter-on-quarter, and public consumption remained resilient. The report also shows that household consumption has essentially stagnated, and the growth rate of household purchasing power is expected to remain lower than the level of economic activity. The report warns that several uncertainties still need to be monitored. Externally, the direction of US trade policy remains uncertain; if international oil prices continue to decline, it may provide additional support for the European economic recovery. Internally, the direction of French fiscal policy remains unclear; signs of a rebound in business investment are relatively clear, but the recovery of household consumption remains uncertain. (CCTV)
