[Netherlands Unemployment Rate Remains at 4% in November, Highest Since 2021] ⑴ The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in the Netherlands for November 2025 was 4%, unchanged from the previous two months, and still the highest level since September 2021. ⑵ The number of unemployed decreased by 3,000 to 408,000, lower than the more than four-year high of 411,000 reached in October. ⑶ At the same time, the number of employed decreased by 9,000 to 9.846 million, and the labor force participation rate slightly decreased from 76.4% in the previous month to 76.2%, a four-month low. ⑷ The number of new unemployment benefit recipients in November was 22,900, bringing the total to 194,100, while 24,100 people stopped receiving benefits during the same period. ⑸ Compared with the same period last year, the unemployment rate in November was 0.3 percentage points higher than the 3.7% in November 2024.
