On December 18 local time, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement saying that earlier that day, the IDF launched attacks on Hezbollah military buildings in several areas of Lebanon, destroying multiple infrastructure sites, including a training and exercise camp and several weapons storage buildings. The IDF stated that Hezbollah militants used these facilities to plan and carry out actions against Israel. These activities constitute a threat to Israel and violate the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon. The IDF emphasized that it will continue to take action to eliminate all threats against Israel and prevent Hezbollah from regaining strength. Hezbollah has not yet responded to this.
