[USDA Reports New Soybean Sales] The USDA announced that 114,000 tons of U.S. soybeans have been sold to unknown destinations for delivery in the 2025/26 marketing year. This announcement follows a large sales announcement yesterday of over 300,000 tons of soybeans sold to China and unknown destinations, and slightly over 177,000 tons of corn sold to Mexico. "Unknown destinations" is a euphemism used by the USDA, which traders and analysts generally assume refers to China, although this is not necessarily the case. These announcements, along with reports that Chinese buyer China Grain Reserves Corporation (Sinograin Oils & Fats) is selling off its soybean inventory to make room for U.S. exports, have encouraged analysts and traders regarding Chinese demand for U.S. soybeans.
