[Two Manned Flight Missions Planned for 2026, Full Efforts to Advance Lunar Landing Support Facilities] According to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, two manned flight missions and one cargo spacecraft resupply mission are planned for 2026. Astronauts from Hong Kong and Macau are expected to perform space station missions as early as this year, and one astronaut from the Shenzhou-23 crew will conduct a one-year stay experiment. Aiming at achieving the goal of Chinese people landing on the moon for the first time before 2030, the research and development of various tasks in the lunar landing phase of the manned lunar exploration project are progressing steadily. To date, the development of major flight products such as the Long March-10 carrier rocket, the Mengzhou manned spacecraft, and the Lanyue lunar lander has progressed smoothly. Large-scale tests have been successively completed, including the Mengzhou manned spacecraft's zero-altitude escape, the Lanyue lander's landing and takeoff, the Long March-10 carrier rocket's tethered ignition, the Long March-10 carrier rocket system's low-altitude demonstration and verification, and the Mengzhou manned spacecraft system's maximum dynamic pressure escape flight. In 2026, all efforts will be made to advance the construction of supporting facilities and equipment for the lunar landing mission at the Wenchang Space Launch Site, as well as the construction of various ground support systems such as telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) and the landing site.
