In a report, Deutsche Bank analyst Lauren Silberman stated that despite the overall sluggish sentiment in the US pizza industry due to the growth of food delivery aggregation platforms and the emergence of GLP-1s, Domino's Pizza is still poised to gain market share. Silberman pointed out that the four major pizza giants—Domino's Pizza, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, and Little Caesars—are projected to maintain a combined market share of 61% by 2025, the same as in 2019. This suggests that these companies are competing for market share among themselves rather than from independent operators. Domino's Pizza has outperformed Pizza Hut and Papa John's over the past two years, with its forecast indicating a roughly 5% increase in system sales. Promotional activities, menu innovation, and the FIFA World Cup have provided recent catalysts, and Domino's Pizza's stock price rose 1.5%.
