Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi stated that Japan has secured sufficient naphtha supplies to meet domestic demand for at least four months. The Japanese government is working to alleviate market concerns about potential supply shortages. In a post on the X platform on Sunday, Takaichi pointed out that these supplies include approximately two months' worth of overseas shipments and supplies from domestic refineries, in addition to an extra two months' worth of inventory of naphtha-derived chemical intermediates such as polyethylene.
