[Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: US Threat to Attack Iranian Infrastructure Constitutes War Crime] ⑴ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Bagheei condemned the US threat against Iranian infrastructure as a "war crime" and warned that any country assisting Washington will be held legally accountable. ⑵ Bagheei stated, "There is no doubt that simply issuing such a threat is a war crime." He pointed out that the US talks about attacking "energy and industrial infrastructure" while simultaneously "giving Israel the green light to attack civilian targets." ⑶ He emphasized that these actions constitute war crimes under international humanitarian law and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. "All countries should understand that any act of cooperation or assistance provided by the US in committing its crimes must be held accountable and should be recognized as a war crime and a crime against humanity."
