Musk stated that Tesla's Autopilot technology has saved many lives, and the data irrefutably confirms this. Of course, this doesn't mean it's without flaws. Even if we improved safety tenfold, saving 90% of the 1 million people who die in car accidents each year, Tesla would still face lawsuits from those 10% of victims. And most of those 90% of survivors wouldn't even realize that Tesla saved them. Nevertheless, it's still the right thing to do.
