The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement on the 6th, claiming that it had conducted an airstrike on a large petrochemical complex in the Asaluyeh region of southern Iran. This facility is Iran's largest petrochemical complex. The statement also indicated that the IDF had launched strikes against two major Iranian petrochemical complexes, severely crippling over 85% of Iran's petrochemical export capacity.
