(2) Previously, the two sides had conducted high-level diplomatic contacts, including a telephone conversation between Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Iranian President Pezechkian on March 26, and a telephone conversation between Foreign Minister Mohammad Hassan and Iranian Foreign Minister Arakchi on March 24.
