[Indonesia Raises 15 Trillion Rupiah in Islamic Bond Auction, with Clear Differentiation in Interest Rates Between Short and Long-Term] ⑴ The Indonesian Ministry of Finance raised 15 trillion rupiah through an Islamic bond auction on Tuesday. ⑵ The weighted average yield on Islamic treasury bonds maturing in May 2026 is 4.85000%, maturing in October 2026 is 5.22500%, and maturing in February 2027 is 5.30000%. ⑶ Regarding project-based sovereign Islamic bonds, the weighted average yield on bonds maturing in July 2028 is 6.15925%, maturing in November 2030 is 6.19598%, and maturing in June 2039 is 6.53386%. (4) From the yield curve, there is a significant spread between the short and long ends. The yield of the longest-term 2039 bond is about 168 basis points higher than that of the shortest-term 2026 May bond, reflecting that investors are demanding a higher risk premium for long-term Islamic bonds against the backdrop of high energy prices and global geopolitical uncertainty.
