[Israel Attacks Bridges and Railways in Iran] (1) The Israeli military said Tuesday it had attacked eight bridges in Iran, including those in Tehran, Karaj, Tabriz, Kashan, and Qom. The attacks came just hours before U.S. President Donald Trump set a deadline for Iran to agree to a ceasefire, or the U.S. would strike Iranian bridges and power plants. (2) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a separate statement Tuesday that the Israeli military also attacked railway lines in Iran. Netanyahu and the Israeli military said the bridges and railway lines were being used by Iranian security forces to transport troops and weapons. (3) According to Iranian state media, a communications line bridge outside Qom, a bridge on the Zanjan-Tabriz highway, and the Kashan railway bridge were attacked. Iranian state media also reported that the attack on the Kashan railway bridge killed two people and injured three others.
