[Panama Allows First Quantum to Remove Ore Stockpiles from Closed Copper Mine] The Panamanian government has officially authorized First Quantum Mining of Canada to remove and process ore stockpiled at its closed Cobré copper mine in Panama. Panama's Minister of Commerce and Industry, Julio Morto, stated that the government expects to issue a formal decision no later than April 8th, authorizing the company to retrieve and export the materials stored on-site.
