[International oil prices diverged on July 7] By the close of trading, the price of light sweet crude oil futures for May delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose 54 cents to settle at $112.95 a barrel, an increase of 0.48%; while the price of Brent crude oil futures for June delivery on the London ICE Futures Exchange fell 50 cents to settle at $109.27 a barrel, a decrease of 0.46%.
