[Trump Announces Two-Week Ceasefire with Iran] US President Trump posted on the social media platform "Truth Social," stating that based on communications with the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Chief of the Army General Staff—who requested a postponement of tonight's devastating strike against Iran, provided that the Islamic Republic of Iran agrees to a full, immediate, and secure opening of the Strait of Hormuz—he agreed to a two-week suspension of bombing and military strikes against Iran. This will be a bilateral ceasefire! The reason for this decision is that we have achieved and exceeded all military objectives and made significant progress in concluding a long-term peace agreement with Iran and achieving peace in the Middle East.
