[Gaza Aid Crew Members Recount Hellish Torture] Several Australian activists from the Global Resilience Fleet, a humanitarian ferry recently detained by Israel in Gaza, returned home today (May 25) and recounted their experiences of being beaten, sexually assaulted, and abused by Israeli military and police to the media at the airport. Some said they suffered hellish torture over four days, sustaining numerous injuries and even fractures, and that they saw "no humanity" in the eyes of the Israelis who perpetrated the violence. These activists expressed their hope that when people hear their stories, they will not only think of their suffering but also "think of the decades-long suffering of the Palestinians and the need to stop and dismantle the genocidal Israeli regime."
