[Canada Implements Temporary Border Controls Related to Ebola Outbreak] On May 26, local time, the Public Health Agency of Canada announced that in response to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the growing risks in Uganda and South Sudan, the Canadian government is taking decisive action by implementing temporary border measures to reduce the risk of the virus entering and spreading in Canada. The Canadian government plans to suspend the issuance of immigration documents to residents of countries at high or very high risk of Ebola outbreaks for 90 days, starting at 11:59 PM Eastern Time on May 27. Currently, these countries include the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, and South Sudan. (CCTV)
