[Transportation Economic Performance in the First Four Months Released: Freight Volume and Other Indicators Continue to Grow] According to the Ministry of Transport, my country's transportation economy operated smoothly overall in the first four months of this year, with major indicators such as freight volume, port cargo throughput, and cross-regional passenger flow continuing their growth trend. The latest data from the Ministry of Transport shows that from January to April, my country completed 18.17 billion tons of commercial freight volume, a year-on-year increase of 3.6%. Data also shows that from January to April, my country completed 5.93 billion tons of port cargo throughput, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%, with domestic and foreign trade throughput increasing by 2.0% and 5.5% year-on-year, respectively.
