[Estonia's April Retail Sales Growth Slows to Four-Month Low] ⑴ Estonia's retail sales grew 1.6% year-on-year in April, compared to 6.9% growth in the previous month, marking the weakest increase in retail activity since the decline began in December 2025. ⑵ Sales of motor fuel in specialty stores slowed sharply to 2.7% from 14.8%, while sales of non-food products excluding fuel slowed to 1.4% from 10.1%. ⑶ During the same period, retail activity in food, beverages, and tobacco declined by 0.9%, a smaller decline than the 1.8% drop in the previous month. ⑷ On a month-on-month basis, retail sales in April 2026 declined by 3.5%, a sharp reversal from the 14.5% increase in the previous month.
