Data from the National Energy Administration shows that in April 2026, the national electricity market completed 588.3 billion kWh of transactions, a year-on-year increase of 25.5%. In terms of transaction scope, intra-provincial transactions totaled 473 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 29.4%; inter-provincial and inter-regional transactions totaled 115.3 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 11.9%. In terms of transaction types, medium- and long-term transactions totaled 522.3 billion kWh; spot transactions totaled 66 billion kWh. Green electricity transactions totaled 29.7 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 3.6%. From January to April 2026, the national cumulative electricity market transactions totaled 2,430.7 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 25.6%. In terms of transaction scope, intra-provincial transactions totaled 1,945.6 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 29.4%; inter-provincial and inter-regional transactions totaled 485.1 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%. In terms of transaction types, medium- and long-term transactions totaled 2,118 billion kWh; spot transactions totaled 312.8 billion kWh. The volume of green electricity traded reached 105.3 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 3.2%.
