[Large-scale Mechanized Wheat Harvesting Underway Nationwide] The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced on May 28 that as of 5 PM on May 28, 48.97 million mu (approximately 3.25 million hectares) of summer wheat had been harvested nationwide, with daily mechanized harvesting exceeding 10 million mu (approximately 667,000 hectares). The large-scale mechanized wheat harvest for this year's "Three Summers" (summer harvest, summer planting, and summer management) has fully commenced across the country. The overall harvest progress is currently nearly 20%, with the harvest in Southwest China and Hubei province nearing completion, Henan and Anhui provinces nearing 10%, and Jiangsu and Shaanxi provinces gradually commencing harvesting. An official from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs stated that over 17 million sets of various agricultural machinery will be deployed nationwide for this year's "Three Summers." The Ministry has proactively organized and mobilized various regions to prepare for the harvest, and has collaborated with transportation, public security, and meteorological departments to strengthen service guarantees for agricultural machinery operations.
