[US Military Confirms Iranian Strike on US Base in Kuwait] US Central Command confirmed today that Iran launched a ballistic missile at Kuwait, which was subsequently intercepted by Kuwaiti forces. The statement described this as a "serious violation of the ceasefire" by Iran. The US also stated that hours earlier, Iran launched five one-way attack drones, posing a "significant threat" to the Strait of Hormuz and its surrounding area. The statement said that all of these drones were successfully intercepted by the US military, and that the US also prevented a sixth drone launch by Iran from a ground control station in Bandar Abbas. US Central Command stated that it will continue to work with regional partners with vigilance and prudent action to protect US forces and their interests from "unprovoked Iranian aggression."
