[Australian Government Announces Full Implementation of Electronic Arrival Card, Investing AUD 56.1 Million Over 4 Years to Improve Clearance Efficiency] (1) On July 13, the Australian government announced that it will fully implement the electronic arrival card system to replace the traditional paper-based arrival passenger declaration card in order to simplify the clearance process and improve efficiency. (2) The government plans to invest AUD 56.1 million over the next four years to modernize passenger clearance at airports and seaports across the country. The electronic arrival card system will be rolled out in phases to all international airports and seaports within 12 to 18 months. (4) Australian Minister for Trade and Tourism Don Farrell stated that simplifying the entry process is an important measure for the country to develop its tourism industry, which will not only provide a more convenient experience for international travelers but also help enhance Australia's tourism competitiveness.
