[Tarim Oilfield's Gas Supply to Central and Eastern Regions Exceeds 400 Billion Cubic Meters] China National Petroleum Corporation's (CNPC) Tarim Oilfield announced on the 13th that its cumulative gas supply to central and eastern China has exceeded 400 billion cubic meters, reaching 400.03394 billion cubic meters. This provides a solid guarantee for the gas supply to 15 provinces and municipalities, over 120 large and medium-sized cities, and nearly 500 million people downstream. According to Tarim Oilfield's calculations, 400 billion cubic meters of natural gas is equivalent to replacing approximately 510 million tons of standard coal, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 520 million tons, and is equivalent to the carbon sequestration of approximately 75 million hectares of forest for an entire year.
