[UBS Expects Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase Succession to Be the Focus of Earnings Reports] UBS analyst Erika Najarian stated that Goldman Sachs faces its biggest test this earnings season, as standing out among Wall Street's major banks will not be easy; meanwhile, investors are focusing on who might succeed Jamie Dimon as CEO of JPMorgan Chase. Najarian said on Monday, "Goldman Sachs faces the biggest test, considering market expectations and investor positioning." She added that five of the six largest U.S. banks will release their results on Tuesday, "and standing out won't be easy, especially since I expect JPMorgan Chase's earnings call will largely revolve around the succession issue." Najarian is a UBS equity research analyst responsible for the large banks and consumer finance sectors. This week, a large number of U.S. banks with a combined market capitalization exceeding $2 trillion will release their earnings reports. Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Citigroup will release their results on Tuesday, while Morgan Stanley will release its on Wednesday. Compared to the typical three-day earnings release schedule for these industry leaders, this year's schedule is more concentrated.
