[Russian Crude Oil Production Falls to Lowest Level in at Least Two and a Half Years] Russian crude oil production fell to its lowest level in at least two and a half years in June, as Ukraine continued its near-daily attacks on Russian oil infrastructure. According to the OPEC monthly report, Russian producers averaged 8.928 million barrels per day in June. These figures highlight the immense pressure on the Russian oil industry: due to refinery cuts caused by Ukrainian drone attacks, Russia has been forced to export large quantities of crude oil. OPEC data, based on secondary sources, shows that Russia's daily production in June was 834,000 barrels lower than its target set by OPEC and its allies, and also 61,000 barrels lower than the slightly revised May production level.
