[Russia-Iran Gas Trade Agreement Enters Final Stage] (1) Iranian Oil Minister Mahmoud Paknejhad and Russian Energy Minister Tsivirev announced during their meeting that the main terms of the final gas trade agreement between the two countries have been agreed upon, and the final text is planned to be finalized in the near future. Tehran and Moscow are close to reaching an agreement. (2) The two sides reviewed the implementation of the agreement reached at the 19th meeting of the Russia-Iran Intergovernmental Commission in February 2026, and focused on discussing the investment of Russian companies in Iranian oil and gas fields. They also formulated specific solutions to address existing problems in bilateral cooperation. (3) Tsivirev invited Paknejhad to visit Moscow in the near future to further promote cooperation. The two sides agreed to eliminate all obstacles encountered by companies from both countries in the implementation of projects as soon as possible.
