According to the National Energy Administration, from January to June, total electricity consumption reached 5,099.9 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%. By sector, primary industry electricity consumption was 71.1 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%. Secondary industry electricity consumption was 3,305.7 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%; among which, industrial electricity consumption was 3,276 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%, and high-tech and equipment manufacturing electricity consumption was 600.8 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%. Tertiary industry electricity consumption was 991.6 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 8.0%; among which, charging and swapping services and internet data services consumed 81 billion and 49.4 billion kilowatt-hours respectively, with growth rates reaching 56.9% and 44.0% respectively. Residential electricity consumption was 731.5 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%.
