[US Producer Inflation Expectations Flat Month-on-Month in June, Core Year-on-Year Expected to Accelerate to 5.2%] ⑴ US producer price expectations were flat month-on-month in June, the weakest monthly reading in ten months, after rising 1.1% in the previous two months. The slowdown may have been driven by falling energy prices following the US-Iran ceasefire agreement. ⑵ Excluding volatile food and energy prices, core producer price expectations rose 0.4% month-on-month in June, consistent with the increase in May. ⑶ Year-on-year, overall producer inflation expectations fell to 6.2% from 6.5%, the first slowdown in eight months; core producer inflation expectations accelerated to 5.2% from 4.9%, the highest since December 2022.
