[Croatia's June Inflation Drops to 4.5%, a Four-Month Low] ⑴ Croatia's annual inflation rate fell to 4.5% in June from 5.2% in May, the lowest level since February, confirming the preliminary reading. ⑵ Price increases slowed in categories such as food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.8%, previous 1.4%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (7.1%, previous 7.5%), transportation (8.6%, previous 12.5%), and catering and accommodation (5.8%, previous 6.1%); medical inflation remained flat at 5.2%. ⑶ Inflation rose slightly in categories such as housing (water, electricity, gas and other fuels, 12.0%, previous 11.8%), information and communication (2.9%, previous 2.7%), and leisure and culture (4.1%, previous 3.9%); clothing and footwear prices continued to decline (-2.8%, previous -3.0%), with the decline narrowing slightly. ⑷ On a month-on-month basis, consumer prices fell by 0.4% in June, a deeper decline than the 0.3% drop in the previous month.
