[Oman's June Inflation Falls to 2.8%, a Four-Month Low] ⑴ Oman's annual inflation rate fell to 2.8% in June from 3.8% in May, the lowest level in four months. ⑵ The slowdown was mainly driven by further declines in housing and utility costs (-0.6%, compared to -0.3% previously), while price increases for food and non-alcoholic beverages (6.1%, compared to 6.7% previously), transportation (5.5%, compared to 9.2% previously), and leisure and culture (0.3%, compared to 0.4% previously) also slowed. ⑶ Inflation in furniture (3.1%), food and beverage (4.6%), education (2.2%), and healthcare (1.8%) remained stable. ⑷ On a month-on-month basis, consumer prices fell 0.6% in June, the first decline in six months, reversing the 0.5% increase in the previous month.
