Additionally, one US dollar was worth 162.05 Japanese yen, down from 162.2 yen the previous trading day; one US dollar was worth 0.8047 Swiss francs, down from 0.8092 Swiss francs the previous trading day; one US dollar was worth 1.4 Canadian dollars, down from 1.41 Canadian dollars the previous trading day; and one US dollar was worth 9.59 Swedish krona, down from 9.66 Swedish krona the previous trading day. A weakening dollar index typically reflects fluctuations in market confidence in the dollar in the short term, and this exchange rate change can also have corresponding impacts on areas such as international trade settlement and cross-border asset allocation.
