The Ministry of Water Resources held a press conference this morning to introduce this year's flood situation. Since the beginning of the flood season this year, major rivers in my country have experienced 25 numbered floods, with 609 rivers exceeding warning levels, 35% more than the average for the same period in the past five years. 97 small and medium-sized rivers have exceeded guaranteed water levels, and 14 rivers have experienced their largest floods since records began. It is predicted that during this critical flood season, both northern and southern my country will experience heavy rainfall, with flooding being more severe than drought.
