On Thursday, July 16, during the late New York trading session, ICE raw sugar futures closed down 2.96%, and ICE white sugar futures fell 1.50%; ICE coffee "C" futures fell 3.92%, and Robusta coffee futures fell 2.74%. Among agricultural commodities, cocoa futures saw significant declines, with New York cocoa futures plunging 7.51% to $5,441 per tonne; London cocoa futures fell even more sharply, by 8.81%. In other agricultural commodities, Chicago WCE low-erucic acid canola futures closed down 1.20%, and ICE cotton futures fell 2.84%.
