[European Gas Futures Surge Over 19% This Week] At the close of European trading on Friday (July 17), ICE UK natural gas futures rose 5.58% to 140.170 pence per kcal, continuing its rebound since June 25, approaching the highs of 141.220 pence on March 27 and 165.500 pence on March 19, for a cumulative increase of 19.61% this week. TTF benchmark Dutch natural gas futures rose 5.01% to €57.935 per megawatt-hour, also continuing its rebound since closing at €40.405 on June 25, approaching the high of €72 on March 19, for a cumulative increase of 19.76% this week. ICE EU carbon emissions trading permits (futures price) rose 0.53% to €79.09 per tonne, for a cumulative increase of 0.50% this week.
