The UAE expressed deep concern over the recent escalation of the situation in the Middle East and put forward the following initiatives: 1. Immediately cease all hostile acts and gradually de-escalate tensions; 2. All parties involved should exercise maximum restraint and rationality to prevent the regional situation from sliding into a more serious conflict; 3. Promote the early resumption of dialogue and consultation processes; 4. Effectively ensure the safe and smooth passage of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing the irreplaceable and crucial role of this waterway in the global economy; 5. Immediately cease attacks on civilian infrastructure, including schools, medical institutions, desalination plants, and energy-related facilities, as such attacks seriously violate international law and have no legitimacy whatsoever.
