[EU Allocates €3.47 Billion in Military Support to Ukraine] The European Commission announced on July 30 that it had allocated €3.47 billion in military support to Ukraine for the purchase of equipment such as drones, missiles, air defense systems, and fighter jets. The Commission stated that this funding came from a planned €90 billion loan to Ukraine. Ukrainian Prime Minister Koletsky confirmed the funds that day. The EU formally approved the €90 billion loan in April, providing financial and military support to Ukraine from 2026 to 2027. Regarding Western military support to Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov had previously warned repeatedly that all weapons shipped to Ukraine would become legitimate targets for Russian military strikes.
