[US Refutes Three Latest Claims from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard] The US Central Command issued a statement saying that in the past few hours, Iranian state media have continued to disseminate false information released by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), including the following three claims: First, the IRGC again claims that "the free and open waters of the Strait of Hormuz pose a danger to commercial vessels"; in fact, the direct threat to commercial vessels and their civilian crews comes from the IRGC's verbal threats and attempts to attack ships. Second, the IRGC claims that "in a recent attack on a US military base, it destroyed three US F-35 stealth fighter jets and three other aircraft"; in fact, the recent Iranian attacks on US forces did not result in the destruction or damage of any US aircraft. All missiles and drones were intercepted or failed to reach their target areas. Third, Iranian state media reported that "a commercial oil tanker, the 'M/T Nora,' has broken through the blockade imposed by the United States." However, the fact is that the commercial vessel has not broken through the "steel blockade" imposed by the United States.
