[Eurozone Trade Surplus Widens to €14.2 Billion in July, a Nine-Month High] ⑴ The Eurozone's trade surplus reached €14.2 billion in July, up from €10.7 billion in July 2025, marking the largest monthly surplus since October 2025. ⑵ Merchandise exports rose 9% to €276 billion, a more than 16-month high, while imports increased by 7.9% to €261.8 billion, a relatively slower growth rate. ⑶ The latest figure represents a €3.5 billion improvement compared to the same period last year, primarily supported by a stronger surplus in chemicals and related products, as well as additional surpluses in other manufactured goods and food and beverages, offsetting the decline in the machinery and vehicle surplus.
