[India's August Vegetable Oil Imports Diverge: Palm Oil and Soybean Oil Increase, Sunflower Oil Declines] ⑴ The Solvent Extractors Association of India (SEMI) stated on Tuesday that India's palm oil imports in August increased by approximately 7% month-on-month, reaching 783,000 tons. ⑵ Soybean oil imports increased by approximately 26% month-on-month, reaching 629,000 tons. ⑶ Sunflower oil imports decreased by approximately 36% month-on-month, falling to 161,000 tons. ⑷ Total vegetable oil imports in August were approximately 1.61 million tons, higher than July's approximately 1.53 million tons. ⑸ The market will focus on the impact of these changes in India's vegetable oil import structure on the international price differentials for palm oil, soybean oil, and sunflower oil.
