[Nigeria Meets OPEC Production Quota in August, Fourth Consecutive Month] ⑴ Nigeria's average daily crude oil production (excluding condensate) in August 2026 was 1.498 million barrels, and its combined oil and gas production (crude oil + condensate) averaged 1.676 million barrels per day, a slight increase of 0.4% compared to July, marking the fourth consecutive month of meeting its OPEC production quota. ⑵ Daily crude oil and condensate production ranged from 1.64 million to 1.71 million barrels per day during the month; Bonny Terminal and Forcados Terminal were the two largest production and export ports, with average daily production of 319,000 barrels and 316,000 barrels per day, respectively. ⑶ The production rebound was mainly due to the repair of a single-point mooring facility malfunction at the Elha oilfield, which had previously hampered July's production; most other oil and gas facilities operated smoothly overall. ⑷ Regulatory agencies stated that the industry continues to promote equipment maintenance and reduce the risk of production interruptions. This slight increase in production reflects the effectiveness of fault handling and asset management. They will continue to improve facility reliability and strive for stable production increases.
