[Pakistan and Lebanon Agree to Strengthen Security and Counter-Terrorism Cooperation] On the 15th local time, Pakistani Interior Minister Muhsin Naqvi met with Lebanese Interior Minister Hajar in Islamabad. The two sides focused on strengthening cooperation in areas such as security, counter-terrorism, drug control, combating illegal immigration, anti-money laundering, and cybercrime, and agreed to enhance exchanges and cooperation between the two countries' police academies and personnel training. Both sides agreed to jointly combat terrorism and drug trafficking through intelligence sharing to address emerging security challenges, and will expedite the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two interior departments, while also designating liaison officers to strengthen bilateral coordination. The two interior ministers stated that they will further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Lebanon and expand cooperation in areas of common concern, such as internal security.
