[OpenAI: Collaborating with Anthropic and Google on AI Security] OpenAI is collaborating with its biggest competitor, Anthropic PBC, and Google's DeepMind, to develop measures to address artificial intelligence (AI) security concerns. This move escalates industry-wide efforts to address growing concerns that the technology could pose economic and security threats. Chris Lehane, OpenAI's global policy director, said the company has been in contact with Anthropic and Google for several weeks. OpenAI believes that the three AI companies do not need antitrust exemptions to coordinate on security matters. "Working together to prioritize security is preferable," Lehane said at a briefing in Washington, D.C.
