A spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran stated at an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) meeting that Iran will not yield and that its nuclear program is peaceful in nature. Iran is one of the earliest members of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and has consistently adhered to its obligations under the treaty. After repeated and continuous inspections of Iranian nuclear facilities, have IAEA inspectors submitted any reports indicating violations by Iran to date? Did the IAEA Director General and the Board of Governors not condemn the 1981 military attack on Iraqi nuclear facilities? Then why was the much larger military attack on Iranian nuclear facilities not condemned?
